BriggsAmasco specifies lightweight single ply solution for massive warehouse roof
Used by global logistics specialist DHL and leading DIY retailer B&Q, the distribution warehouse in Runcorn Cheshire, was in need of updating. As part of a £1.3 million contract, BriggsAmasco specified Sarnafil’s S327-12EL membrane in Light Grey to provide a lightweight yet watertight roofing solution.
The BriggsAmasco specialist installation team utilised the flexibility of this mechanically fastened single ply membrane, enabling a smooth and efficient installation process onto the existing roof covering with a Sarnafil Type T Separating Fleece layer loose laid beneath.
Offering speed and ease of application, single ply membranes are strong, flexible membranes which offer a long life expectancy of 30 years or more. Applications to most types of roof construction are possible, not just flat, but also to pitched, barrelled, vaulted and vertical surfaces, and not just to larger, new build commercial and industrial developments, but also to major refurbishment projects.
As an early pioneer in the use of single ply membranes in the UK roofing market, BriggsAmasco have successfully contracted single ply membranes on a wide range of projects. With dedicated project management teams available to clients, BriggsAmasco ensures a continuity and excellence of onsite performance for every project.
Completed in September 2011, some eight weeks ahead of programme, BriggsAmasco’s exceptional workmanship and attention to detail has ensured the roofing installation was delivered to the finest standard possible and is befitting of two leading global brands.
